Dr. Chung was raised in Kamloops and continues to live in the same neighbourhood with his wife and two children. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario (UWO). At UWO, he was awarded the 3M Award for Restorative Excellence.
Dr. Chung is a faculty member for the Bites Implant Training Institute (Burnaby, BC), which provides surgical and prosthetic training courses, as well as monthly study clubs to support general dentists' on-going needs in implant dentistry. He lectures nation-wide on topics such as immediate implants and implant dentures.
Dr. Chung has lectured for the Kamloops Hygiene Study Club and BC Denturist Association Convention. He is the co-founder of the Kamloops Dental Professionals Study Club, a collaborative group of dentists and denturists. His full-time practice in Kamloops focuses on surgery and implant dentistry. Dr. Chung also maintains privileges at the Royal Inland Hospital.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chung enjoys spending time with his family, baking, cooking, and mountain biking.
